Flustix: the seal that tells you if a product is truly plastic-free

Now more than ever, we want to know if what we buy is good for the planet. With so much information everywhere, sometimes it’s hard to tell if a product is really sustainable… or just seems that way. That’s where Flustix comes in, a certification that helps identify which products are truly plastic-free or at least use significantly less plastic.

What is Flustix?

Flustix is a European initiative dedicated to reviewing and verifying whether products and packaging contain plastic or microplastics. If they pass the test, they can carry one of its official seals, giving consumers a real guarantee that they are making a more responsible choice.

These seals not only help consumers shop consciously, but they also serve as a tool for companies that are doing things right and want to prove it with facts, not just words.

Flustix has different seals, each with a clear meaning. In the image accompanying this blog, you can see the main ones:

●      Microplastic-Free: The product contains no microplastics in its formula.

●      Product: 99.25% of the product is free of plastics.

●      Packaging: At least 95% of the packaging contains no plastic.

●      Complete Product: Evaluates both the product and its packaging to ensure that both reduce plastic usage.

This way, you can know at a glance how committed the product is to the environment.

¿Y quién se asegura de que esto sea verdad?

Las pruebas no las hace Flustix directamente, sino que se apoyan en laboratorios independientes y de prestigio internacional. Entre ellos está TÜV SÜD, uno de los centros de pruebas más reconocidos del mundo. Ellos analizan todo con detalle: ingredientes, materiales, procesos, envases… todo.

Eso significa que si ves un sello Flustix en un producto, puedes confiar en que alguien serio lo revisó y comprobó que cumple con lo que promete.

¿Por qué es importante?

Porque vivimos en un mundo donde cada decisión de compra cuenta. Elegir productos certificados ayuda a reducir la contaminación plástica, apoya a las marcas que realmente están haciendo las cosas bien, y nos da poder como consumidores.
